Hey Lucy followed by Jamba Juice

Last week we had some amazing weather in the city of Toronto. We haven’t had this type of heat in March in a long time considering that we made a new heat record on March 16th that hasn’t been broken in 67 years. That’s global warming for you. I decided to take advantage of the weather and take Vanessa to Jamba Juice since she had never been. I’m not judging though. It just opened up here in Toronto (495 Bloor St.) late last year. It made sense to eat before having some delicious smoothies, so we tried a place across the street called Hey Lucy. I really enjoyed their calamari and macaroni balls while sitting on the patio getting some sun. I can’t wait until summer so we can do this more often.

Late

Last Thursday, Vanessa and I went shopping at the Eaton Centre; I ended up buying a jacket, which I probably won’t need for a while with all this good weather. I ended up putting a short video of the day together since I’m a cool guy like that. Check it out.

Joey Eaton Centre

So lately my healthy eating habits are on hold because of places like Joeys. I’m not even mad at myself though because who really doesn’t like a good meal? I’ll admit that I haven’t been going to the gym either. Oh well. I pretty much use a 100 pound dumbbell to do keep ups with like it’s a soccer ball. Alright that’s a lie, but at least in my mind I’m not too out of shape yet.

Anyways, Joeys has some really good fish tacos; Vanessa and I also got the bacon cheddar burger and caesar salad to go along with them. I’ll for sure come back here because those fish tacos with wasabi sauce were worth every cent spent. If you’re around the eaton’s centre area, it’s definitely a place to try if you haven’t been already.

Anyways, hopefully I’ll be back on the healthy eating path soon. Summer is around the corner, so I need to get back to bench pressing 200 pound dumbbells with my lips like I used to do.

Baking 101

One of the reasons why I love the holidays.

Special thanks to Vanessa for baking :)

Mike and Charlene – Wedding Highlights

Had a great time shooting this one.

Breakfast of Champions

I know I’m on a strict diet, but Vanessa made me an amazing breakfast on Sunday. Eggs, bacon, tempeh (soy bacon), hash browns, and blueberry pancakes. How could I possibly turn that down? This breakfast will be my cheat day for the week. Everything tasted really good with the exception of the pancakes and tempeh. Both were a tad bit burned but still tasted good (it’s okay, Vanessa :-P ). I haven’t had hash browns in a long time so they were really enjoyable. After this, I’ll try my best not to have anymore cheat days. Just wait and see.

Thanks again, Vanessa. :)

December 3rd, 2012 Weigh-In

So I’ve been trying to eat healthy lately, and hopefully with some exercise it will pay off. I’ve been gaining a lot of muscle throughout November. Now I’m trying to add in some cardio and watch my diet so that my pythons will be more visible. That and I’d like to go from flabs to abs. So here’s the plan 1) Good diet. 2) Maintain strength training. 3) Add cardio. Hopefully it will work. I’ll post my progress regardless of whether it works or not. Wish me luck.

Sunday Bowling – Week 3. Some Random Person’s Birthday.

So Sunday Bowling happened to run on Seven’s birthday. It was the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate and make him the opposite of sober. We were buying him several shots throughout the night. It didn’t help that they were only $3. By the end, let’s just say he was doing the reverse version of eating. Happy Birthday to my good friend/brother Seven. Many more to come.

Holy Chuck. My Last Fatty Meal For A While.

Holy Chuck has a burger that substitutes the buns with grilled cheese sandwiches (“The Cowlerie”). The addition of bacon to that burger was enough to make my mouth water for some good eating. Vanessa and I went to indulge in some delicious burgers along with some other artery clogging items on their menu. For dessert we got a deep fried twinkie and a new item on the menu; it consisted of deep fried cookie dough, ice cream, and topped off with pieces of chocolate and bacon. I love bacon. I thought it would be a weird mix because I don’t usually like to mix sweet and salty foods, but it was actually really tasty. I felt really good eating here.

Anyways, after this, I’ll be on the road to a healthy diet. I’m starting to eat a lot of vegetables, salads, tuna, and other stuff I don’t usually eat. Hopefully I’ll get rid of my gut soon. Good dieting plus exercise should lead to a less pudgy me.

Special thanks to Vanessa for helping me eat healthy. Well, after Holy Chuck at least. :)

I do miss my burgers though.
